If a Tidy Locker is not already installed in your apartment building, an application for approval should be made to the Body Corporate or Executive Committee prior to installation/placement.

To formalise your request, it should be in writing and contain details of the owner, unit number, and contact details. Also, include specific details of the Tidy Locker, like measurements and clearly outline the proposed materials to be used. A sketch of the proposed placement of the locker is recommended.

Tidy Lockers are made to measure. If required, Tidy Lockers can do a site visit to measure your carpark.

  • Depth of the locker so your vehicle does not extend past the end of your carpark
  • 500mm clearance from any fire sprinkler head
  • Obstructions  the may impede the installation of your locker
  • Obstructions from ventilation, pumping, drainage gutters and exit doors

Normally, a carpark is about 2.4m wide and 5.4m long. This varies among buildings and within buildings themselves.  Building services like drains, fire sprinklers, gutters and air ducts can have an impact and well as the building design like exits and structural pillars.

The policy of each insurance company is different. Tidy Lockers recommends you check with your contents insurance provider with regards to insuring the locker as well as its contents. If not included, it is possible for insurers to extend the policy to cover the locker.

Yes. A full length Tidy Locker includes two full width fixed shelves. Adjustable shelves are an option. Additional and custom shelving can be designed. 

The standard colour is Surfmist, an industry standard off-white. The doors are Shale Grey or Surfmist. Your building’s body corporate may request you use a uniform colour. We can do other colours for an extra $600.

A full length units offers more storage space. It is the preferred choice of apartment owners, even the owners of large cars. 

Over the bonnet storage units are only necessary in the case of very long vehicles or shorter car spaces. We find tenant don’t like these as much as lifting heavy items is difficult and a ladder is required to access the high spaces. Access is difficult while a vehicle is parked underneath it too.

About 25 business days. Most lockers are made to custom dimensions. We will start to build yours on receipt of a 20% deposit.

Tidy Lockers accepts bank transfers for deposits and balance payments. The instructions are supplied on our invoices.

It all depends on size, extras and delivery, but a basic 2400mm wide x 750mm deep and 2050mm high locker on levelling feet, with a roller shutter door, no shelves or weather cap, excluding delivery will be approximately $3,300 inc GST..
